Adam Naide is Executive Director of Marketing for Social Media at Cox Communications, where he leads the company’s social media strategy and brand presence. Every month, millions of consumers engage with Cox Communications on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Plus, Instagram and Vine.
Under Adam’s leadership, Cox has pioneered the use of social media as a growing channel for branding, customer acquisition and retention. Today, Facebook accounts as a Top 3 digital channel for online sales. Further, Cox has invested heavily in social care, now handling 50,000 interactions a month on social media. In 2013 & 2014, Cox Communications was named a Top 10 Most-Socially-Devoted brand by Social Bakers.
Prior to joining Cox, Adam led social media at CNN and HLN TV for Turner Broadcasting, working closely with shows and talent to grow the network’s social media audience to tens of millions. Adam spearheaded the network’s pioneering use of social media to engage audiences around big news events such as elections and the Royal Wedding coverage, and developed the highly successful Stop Bullying/Speak Up campaign partnership with Facebook that has garnered over one million fans. Lastly, Adam is also proud of his role in helping CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta become accomplished Tweeters!
Adam has been recognized as an industry thought-leader in social media. Adam was named a “Top Ten Social Media Maven” by Multichannel
News and to the Cablefax Digital Hot List for 2012, 2013 2014, 2015, and is the winner of a CTAM MARK Award in 2013 for the Homeland Social Surveillance Facebook campaign with Showtime.
Adam is a regular speaker on social media topics at industry conferences including SXSW, The Social Media Shake Up and Social Strategy Summit, Brand Innovators and colleges including Emory, University of Georgia, Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University.
Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Georgia.
