Sr. Vice President, Digital
Jeffrey Kaufman, Senior Vice President, Digital, oversees product development, monetization strategies and content development for USA Network’s digital properties. He reports to Alexandra Shapiro, Executive Vice President, brand marketing and digital.
Kaufman began his career with MTV Networks where he led brand insights, research and strategy for more than a decade. Since, he has held top post at Howcast where he is credited for launching several ground-breaking video-focused social media campaigns, and he served as a brand strategy consultant for YouTube. Most recently, Kaufman served as Senior Vice President of Digital Video for Alloy Digital (now part of Defy Media) leading their video strategy, programming and production for all channels including Smosh (the channel consistently ranks as one of the most-subscribed on YouTube), The Escapist, Teen, The Gloss and Clevver (a leading YouTube entertainment news channel). Additionally, he launched new original channels including Smosh Games, one of the fastest-growing channels in YouTube history garnering one million subscribers in just over three months.
The move to USA marks Kaufman’s return to the NBCUniversal family. In 2006 he led content strategy and editorial for the launches of two groundbreaking digital entertainment start-ups within NBCU, the online video service, Hulu and the revolutionary digital video syndication marketplace, The National Broadband Company.
Kaufman graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Psychology. He will be based in New York.
